Course description for beginners
The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first part of the course Open Water Diver PADI . If you are short on time but want some training then this program is ideal for you.
Good to know!
If you continue with the second part, you get the Open Water Diver PADI certification.


Goals
PADI Scuba Divers are qualified for:
- Diving supervised by a Dive Master PADI until a maximum depth of 12 meters.
- Fill your air bottles, rent or buy scuba diving equipment.
- Continue the course in order to acquire the Open Water Diver PADI certification.
- Take some specialty courses.
Conditions of Registration
To register for a PADI Scuba Diver , you must:
→ Be at least 10 years old.
→ Be in good physical shape (medical certificate required). Within everyone’s reach, no diving experience is required, but you must know how to swim.
Academic
The course Scuba Diver PADI consists of three parts:
- A theoretical part that can be done online , by reading the Open Water Diver manual or at the center with one of our instructors. The objectives are to understand the basic principles of scuba diving.
- Dives in a protected environment to acquire the basic techniques.
- Dives in a natural environment to put in practice the techniques learned and of course explore.


Equipment
Our center will provide you with all the equipment for diving adapted to your morphology. It includes a mask, fins, a regulator, a BC, a wetsuit (man, woman, child) measuring instruments and a scuba tank.

Indeed, our instructors will explain all the equipment you need and can suggest additional educational material, such as the logbook which is mandatory.

Start your Scuba Diver Padi training
Contact our PADI Diving Club on the port of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat to register for this training and request the manual Open Water Diver .
Or start immediately by registering for the online course Open Water Diver Online . This web-based system allows you to study at your own pace by following an easy-to-use interactive program. You only need to complete the first three sections but if you decide to continue in order to obtain your PADI Open Water Diver certification, you have one year to complete the entire program.
Go through our PADI Dive Center to register for the course, get the material and start reading the manual and watch the video.
Our PADI instructors will make an appointment for you to plan knowledge review sessions as well as confined and natural environment dives.
